Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an AI-based and PBL-based Gen Z international economics e-book to improve soft skills as a provision of knowledge in the world of work. The development of an international Gen Z economics e-book is essential to be researched to help students improve their soft skills: conveying ideas effectively , thinking creatively, understanding how to manage emotions, collaborating with others, and preparing for change. This research method uses AI-based R & D Development and PBL by applying the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate) . This research produces a product in the form of an International Economics e-book integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) designed to support the development of soft skills of Generation Z students. Product development is carried out through research and development stages that include needs analysis, design, development, validation, and practicality testing, the assessment of the questions and evaluation items yielded a score of 4.56, while the difficulty level of the questions and evaluation items received a score of 4.33; both fall into the "Very worthy" category. In conclusion, this study produced an AI- and PBL-based international economics e-book for Gen Z that has been deemed valid and practical for use in learning.
